    Ain't it, though.

I've watched it in person, and watched videos of serious folks - like Chihuly - do it. Seems to involve learning the physical properties of molten glass. And the techniques of forming it with blowpipes, mandrels, anvils, tongs, etc. And doing so while it changes properties as it cools. With a fairly high chance of chaos & cats ass trophy. I call it an impressive talent.

I can agree with your conclusion (hightlighted by myself). But art? Not so much.

Have to disagree. I think much of the glass work I've seen qualifies as 'art'. Including the special 'floats' some Oregon towns put out like EasterEggs --

I too have to disagree. Some glass blowers create spectacular works of art.

Susan tried teaching me to blow glass. I spent a lot of time watching her, but never got it right. Either I would get it too hot and just form a blob or let it cool too much and break off the pipe. Using wet wood paddles to form the glass always seemed strange.

Cooler in the back room so watching a recorded old movie, “Charade” with Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn. I’ve seen it many times, but she is just too gorgeous to not watch again.

    I have the book.
I've been watching tons of wild life carving on Youtube. Some incredible stuff from a chunk of wood, particularly the birds. Fish are good too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvRdaSMaiBw JayInOz

I have a piece of Czechoslovakian glass from the 60s.

...but recently watched Spacewalk, a 2017 film on the life of Alexei Leonov. It's a very good film - think Ron Howard directing in Russian, for the style.

Some interesting interviews with the crewmembers who sailed aboard these ships together with good footage of life aboard - and aloft.

Handmaid's tale season 5 started finally. The other tv show which I found recently called Suits. It is an old one but I never heard about it before.
The good thing about it - it have many seasons, so you gonna be sorted for some time with those episodes.
By link can be found a good firestcik apps recommendations, which can replace Netflix and other famous streaming platforms.

I've been watching Beast Runners clips on Youtube- along with all the regular stuff I watch. It hadn't occurred to me that there was enough mountainous wilderness in Taiwan to make searching for lost hikers a regular thing, but there ya go- some stunning scenery, the occasional happy ending. https://taiwanenglishnews.com/expat-...mountain-area/ JayInOz

Don't watch hardly at all. My sweetie & I were working our way thru Downton Abbey, but it got hard to find the time. I've watched some old re-runs. MASH was fun. The Practice is engaging enough to be kinda fun, currently.

Just watched the pilot episode of Alaska Daily with Hilary Swank. I set my recorder for the series. She’s a big city NY investigative reporter exiled to an Anchorage daily. Good Alaska scenery and character. Looks like a good series and I’ve always liked Hilary Swank.

This morning I watched a really nice tribute to Youtuber Andy Detwiler. I thought I'll post the link later- and now I can't find it. So here is a really short clip instead. Andy Detwiler- a truly remarkable man, both for his accomplishments and his spirit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yr0KAse1occ He lost his arms in a grain auger at two years old and had spent his adult life farming without arms. He fought cancer with a smile but succumbed to pneumonia. JayInOz

The Rings of Power; can't say it's 'great', but once ya start....

    Endeavour - new season. Good.

Handmaids tale - good, but IMO, getting long in the tooth.

    Netflix's thing on Infinity.

An hour or so of listenable people, plus the best and most artistic & appropriate animations I've seen in many a year.

    10/10.

There are events happening in real life in US, Brit., Iranian and Israeli politics that beat any fiction hands down. And if you like war movies then Ukraine vs Russia should keep you satisfied. In both cases, as against fiction, you do not know if the good guys will win.
