    Default Wooden sailboat disposal

My parents recently went into a retirement home. My dad very lovingly built a wooden sailboat back in the 70's. We are at a loss at what to do with it. It's still in decent shape and has been stored out of the water for at least the last 15 years. It's in Richmond BC Canada. Any ideas? It's about 27 feet long. Any help would be appreciated.

Wooden boat designed and built by my dad. He's been building boats all his life. I'll have my sister send me a picture. He learned in the Netherlands

List it on Craigslist with photos, etc.

Tons of people scour those ads daily looking for boats, and someone may be looking for just your boat. I have bought many boats over the years that pretty much just appealed to ME.

Just remember that all it takes is one guy to get your boat sold. Just the one right guy (or girl).

Thanks. We are giving it away to whoever wants it. The house sold and we need to remove it. It's on a trailer but hasn't been moved for years.

Hi Anja, I live nearby, just across the border. I'm going to be in Canada this weekend. Are you going to be around, or can I stop by and see it? Send me a message with the details.
There's the plan, then there's what actually happens.

I hope someone can make it seaworthy again. Its a tough chapter having to move your parents move into a home dissolve the things they (and perhaps you) once held dear. I hope you take solace in the fact your parents are still with you. That's more important than any material thing
