So fix it Ian... fix it.

This hole goes all the way through to the bronze skeg plate. Not just one either!

This area is under where the head (to port) and shower used to be, leading back into the fornicatorium - about a 4 metre long section of hull, with the lazarette behind.

We are slipping Grantala next week for the repairs to the drive area of the hull. We have 15 ribs in this area to replace or sister. These will be done using the Spotted Gum timber we milled just before Christmas (separate thread in Resources).

We also have a supply of Queensland Kauri to replace at least (but hopefully only) four planks. The damage seems to be limited to where some bright soul used a whole heap of stainless steel bolts to replace original skeg bolts, etc.

I've booked ten days on the slip and all the elements are coming together well, with the exception of three stiches in my middle finger gained whilst fixing a throttle cable.

All that remains is to organise a couple of extra pumps and patches for the 13 mile trip to the slip.

    Wish us luck!

    Ian
