    Default Stauter Type Boat plans

    Hello All,
New to this site, thanks for all the great information and ideas ! I have had some marine plywood i am collecting and plan on building a boat soon.

I have bout a few plans only to decide on something else. I have finally narrowed things down to the following for cruising and fishing and from time to time some skiing. Thinking a motor around 40 HP + 14-17 foot max
    Thanks
    Matt
    Boats I am considering :

    Little Moby 14.5

Or a boat comparable to the Stauter Built Boats out of Mobile. Here are some pictures love the layout of some of these Stauters. Would anyone recommend some plans close to the following two boats? Attachment 3016

I have decided against the flat bottom boat due to chop in some of the bays at times. The two I like is the Blunt Nose and the Cedar Point Special ? does any one no the advantages or disadvantages of a blunt nose model ? Thanks for any input, sorry cant get anymore photos to upload. Matt

The FAQ page has instructions for posting pictures.

    Welcome to the forum.
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

I think you are going to want the V if you go anywhere near the bay. Lots of chop in areas.

Close enough to pick one up in Alabama? https://mobile.craigslist.org/search...auter&sort=rel
