    +1

Sleep on it. A long rock climb will be good.

New video about fitting the aft deadwood and milling more wood. I really liked the time lapse section of fitting the deadwood.

I'm watching your latest "Mind of a Boatbuilder" right now.
A few couple of things come to mind. 1. There's learning to sail, 2. learning to sail Arabella, 3. and, for your intended voyaging, learning seamanship.

    1. Learning to sail: I really think you can get a great jump on your adventures by learning to sail on a small boat. Find a small dime-a-dozen o'day and just get out there. You will learn so much.
    2. Learning to sail an Ingrid: This will have to wait until Arabella is done, though you could find someone with an Ingrid. I don't think there's any need to get a jump on this, though larger boat experience could be helpful. Learning the specific boat is like a blossoming flower. It will take a little time for her to open up and reveal her real beauty.
    3. Learning seamanship: I have no doubt your grit, persistence, optimism, independent spirit, and wilderness experience will propel the seamanship. This will take time, experience, training, clinics, etc. This is also something that can wait a little bit.

In short, I think "sailing" and "seamanship" are different disciplines, and believe you would really benefit now from small boat sailing experience.

I really admire what you are doing.

Hey Arabella guys, if you find yourself in Seattle, message me and we can sail my Ingrid. You can copy everything you like, and fix everything you don't.
