Yes, I do and that's an option but you still have a join along the top. Dix mentions that sitting up against a rail like that would be uncomfortable and on his he had the strake on the outside only. See his here. dd-argie.jpg
But again the end grain is not covered. So I am thinking either outside only with a capping that covers the end grain on top or a single L shape similar to your diagram that is on outside only but also covers the end.

How did you manage to find that monster fish? Looks like a beautiful day on the water. Hope you find time for many more this summer.

How do you like sailing the Argie compared to your Nordlandsbåt?

Thats a perfect question!!! They do give different experiences. The Argie is easy to launc, easy to tack, and also sail faster I believe *not tested ..yet.) I feel more safe in the Nordlandsboat if its more wind, and with the long keel its more predictable than Argie. I like the tiller system better on the Nordlandsboat, so today I made a new rudder with the same system as the Nordlandsboat. This makes it posible to move forward and to the sides of the boat. I show photos later, but will test it the next trip. It would not work on a sloop, but I have the lug-rig.😎
