    Yes, and since the R's have made such a big deal of what messed-up places are R... or D...

    It should be noted that the town of Uvalde has been R-controlled for decades. Which explains the incompetence and corruption. Note also that the same cop who apparently bungled that whole operation was due to be seated on the city council... to carry on that tradition (though he backed out after the fiasco).

    He didn't back out. He was seated. The citizens of Uvalde forced him out.
