    Default Watching CSPAN

A republican called in and made the argument that Pence did have the authority to not certify, and election boards have the authority to not certify....etc.

I suspect that might be true IF THEY CAN SUBSTANTIATE ACCUSATIONS OF FRAUD.

In the case of the 2020 elections, Trump lawyers took their case to more than 60 courts, but produced NO evidence that there as something wrong with the vote counting/casting.

If one had actual evidence of fraud, I would WANT him to decline to certify anything, but he would NEED EVIDENCE.

If they want to continue to play that game, I’m happy to have Kamala Harris choose our next POTUS and President of the Senate (aka VP).

We tolerate a great deal of election fraud.

You might recall the Voting Rights Act. You might also note that the Democrats attempted to use it against the Republicans. Most recent case was decided by the Supreme Court in 2021.

Both parties see violations of the law where and when it benefits them.

For it to be tolerated, it has to actually happen.
So what fraud are you talking about amongst all the possible varieties?
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

Fraud is not the issue. The issue is the remedy, more particularly, who has what power to implement what remedy, e.g. seizure of ballots and voting machines by the military.

It's widely said, and seems reasonable, that one good thing about the otherwise somewhat chaotic US national election system is its decentralization. That means federal power over state procedures is limited, by design, not through oversight. Doesn't matter what D's or R's say; it's the law, the big one, the Constitution.
    I'm not leaving.
