It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?

Unfortunately, the movie didn't come out until 1980, even the band only dates to 1978.

Andrew2, I fully accept your humble opinion, but I wonder if this particular act, Blues Brothers, might be especially appealing to a group of mainly American males, who teethed on the Belushi/Akroyd “Golden Days” of SNL.

The Blues Brothers is a historic document that demonstrates that the Beatles were a mediocre cover band. The audience relied on those who frequented low-life bars in Calumet City, Illinois.

It's partly a time stamp of identity, kinda like appreciation of Python, or before them, the Goons.

There are two kinds of boaters: those who have run aground, and those who lie about it.
