    Default Word-of-the-Day: holer

(My sister came through once again with the appreciated gift of a page-per-day calendar of Forgotten English)

holer: adulterer, libertine. From French holier

    "From French holier..."

Puts a whole new meaning on "holier than thou", doesn't it?

As a group of hippies in the 70's we rented an abandoned bracero camp on the coast ($100/month) that had a 13 holer. Set on a bluff overlooking the Pacific it had a million dollar view if you sat by the one doorway.
