The monel are far more available and every bit as good, if not better. (Harder and stiffer, I'd expect.)

I have some small catalogs on stainless fasteners and will post the sources later on when I get home. I think one is Anchor fasteners. I ordered stainless staples to cold mold my bottom layer of Merranti 1/4" on my skiff and left them in. I believe I have two sources for all kinds of stainless hardware/fasteners not counting Jamestown Dist...
