Anyone have an idea where I can get parts and/or service for a Skil 542 1/2" drill? I inherited it from my father and it comes with a WOLF ES14 Press unit. Very handy. It stopped running this past weekend. Was running a bit hot and then died.
Let it cool down and wouldn't start again.
    Hate to just toss it.
Do these drills have replaceable brushes? I haven't opened it up yet, wanted to see if parts/service are avilable.

    Thanks, Barry

If there isn't a real tool service place near you try a automotive alternator/generator rebuilder. They can test the armature for shorts and can get brushes for just about anything. My local guy fixed up an ancient Johnson outboard starter when the OMC place said fuggettaboudit. New bushings and brushes.
