Ed, check out the link below. They offer Pacific coast and southern cypress.

    http://www.goosebaylumber.com/CamCedCypAll.htm

They are located about an hours drive north of the Mass line.

Ed, I have got it years past from Downs and Reader in Stoughton, then again you could always get Barber Lumber to send you some from Florida.

I am still looking for a supplier of northern white cedar for planking up a dory. Most available stock is kiln dried and OK for strip canoes, garden benches and fence posts. Guess we don't have anymore trees of sufficient size to harvest in the Northeast.

Maybe it is time to bite the bullet, forget traditional construction and use %&#*&%@ plywood. Any thoughts?

Barbar is probably your best bet. There are numerous small mills that cut cypress here in Florida (and sell rough cut cypress for less than a dollar a board foot!) but none that I know of are set up to ship lumber.

Try Kempfer Sawmill in Deer Park, Florida. 407-892-2955. They are in the heart of the cypress swamps down here and do a lot of cypress...tell how you want it and they cut it.
