    Time to stock the shop.

A family friend, who worked as a logger and sawyer, is downsizing. He has been hoarding this for 20 years. The only catch is that I have to actually use it. Its a mix of black walnut, red cedar, yellow cedar, chinquapin, madrone, oregon ash, cherry, and some bits of other hardwood. Almost all of it harvested in the PNW. 10-15' lengths, lots of it over 12" wide, lots clear. Its all 4/4.

I see a lapstrake boat in my future.
There's the plan, then there's what actually happens.

Go overboard with lighting. Twice as much as you think you need.

    locate some powerpoints overhead.

    central vac with overhead plumbing.

Curtain rails overhead and a curtain. It allows you to isolate work and concentrate heat.

Costco has led florescent tube shop lights. Very bright.

    Great shop!

Looks Great Ben. I'm going out to clean my 9' X 12'. Maybe paint the boat.
Have fun. Looking forward to your projects. John

Throwing away that plus some other stuff, has resulted in a tremendous amount of available room in my garage. The second half will be cleared next Saturday.
Enjoy a good rum on the rocks at sunset.

Sorry for the thread bump, but how would one use primer?
