    Back before my heart attack........I was making the shells for some wooden shell blocks for replacement with the lazyjacks...the idea was to rid myself of the metal fittings which would rub against the sail...
    I used Harken..and then ANTAL ball bearing sheaves and rope stropping...the wood wuz Bois D'Arc/Osage Orange...
    I used CPES as a sealer for the finished block (one experimental block) then varnish over...
    the next one was weighted down in some hot linseed for a couple of days, cleaned....allowed to dry....and finished up with paste wax....
    The linseed finish is a lot better...
    now to finish the new belaying pins...folks seem to like snitching them fer soooovineeers.....or maybe noggin nokkers...
