    Does anyone know where I might be able to buy a traditional galvanized Fisherman's anchor, with a folding stock, in the roughly 30 - 40 pound size? I am familiar with the Luke, and with the gorgeous bronze ones from Reinick & Son, but they are both too pricey.



    I have searched catalogs, publications such as WoodenBoat, the Internet, and several chandleries when we went to Maine & Nova Scotia last year -- all to no avail. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

    If you are not in a great hurry you might try Ebay. I see all sorts of period stuff go by, some sells for ridiculous prices while some sells pretty reasonably (even bargans. Their search works pretty well so that you can target what you are interested in. (Although I have not been able to figure out how to target anchors well without finding all sorts of "Anchor Hocking glassware" as well. You do have to remember buyer beware though, as with all auctions.
