Re: LYSS Build
PLEASE UNDERSTAND MY USE OF BLOCK CAPS AS ANSWERING NOT YELLING
Crabber, really enjoying your build thread.
One thing I was wondering about was whether you could cut segments out of the rail bracing to allow a place to stow rods horizontally.
IT IS A GOOD IDEA THAT CAN BE MASSAGED IN SEVERAL WAYS
SIMPLE HOLES SANDED SMOOTH(CAN BE RETRO PLACED)
HOLES W/ ROUTED OVER EDGES(MUST BE DONE B4 INSTALLING BECAUSE THE ROUTER WONT FIT WHERE THEY ARE)
HOLES W/ GROMMETED FITTINGS(BRASS OR HEATED PVC SQUOZE IN PLACE ONCE IN PLACE)
HOLES W/ A PIECE OF PVC STRETCHING FROM ONE TO THE NEXT(FITTED IN PLACE TO GUARANTEE PROPER ALIGNMENT PROTECTS YOUR RODS BETTER)... BTW, THIS IS A GOOD METHOD OF RUNNING YOUR WIRING UP UNDER THE SIDE DECKS
I am not sure whether to build a console, which would allow vertical rod storage as on Joe's Kiwanda boats.
DEPENDS ON YOUR PREFERRED METHOD OF DRIVING SINCE VERTICAL ROD HOLDERS COULD BE LOCATED ON THE TRANSOM IF THAT'S THE WAY YOU'D RATHER CARRY THEM
