Apologies, it's been many months since I updated this, sooo, on with the thread, next I mounted the rudder,

then worked out how to create deck beams with a proper shape

and applied the theory to making the centre bulkhead

    then did the faux panelling.

    then did some paint stripping

and took off what remained of the deck over the front 4 meters.

and cleaned up the beams, generations of fastenings here, copper, steel, ring nails etc...

the port side gets 3 drawers... because thats how many i have... and they fitted

    then panelled that too

    and made another deck beam...

    and cleaned up a bit

decided on a profile for the edging, then made it.

and made a few more beams

    then cut the top

and finished that bit, now off to the main cabin

started by framing up the stove area

    and panelling it again

    then the bunk front

I wonder if your boat was originally set up with the engine as a 'showpiece' in the cabin, with no box over it. Sort of like this.

I have wondered that, its been suggested i polish up the volvo by some cheeky sods. The part I wonder most is how they got the exhaust to the side outlet, theres no evidence of a hole in old bunk sides or engine beds, i recon they must have gone up and over
