The Harbor Master Called me Today

He said he really didn't want to crush this boat, but he'd have to unless I wanted to take it home.

So Tuesday it is coming home.

Well, that's pretty cool. Does it come with the appropriate ownership paperwork?

Harbor master has clear title and gave me a bill of sale, which is all I need to successfully transfer title.

She does need some work but has a fairly fresh yanmar and a nice dickenson cook stove. The deck has some issues, the hull is fairly sound. I just couldn't let her go to the landfill.

Today is one of the best days of boat ownership, we'll see about tomorrow.

Awesome. Congratulations, Jim! Five should fit on that nicely. Is she shallow enough to make it out of your water? I know that was a concern when planning the bigger sailboat. I don't think she'll make it through the tunnel! What design is she, by the way?

You need a rescue dog to go with that rescue boat of yours.

Will it fit through the culvert?

I really don't know much about her yet. The harbor master thought she was built in 1938 and I think she is a Blanchard boat, other than that.....

I don't know if she'll fit through the tube or not, it's going to be close. But I have a big turn out up by the road where the boat mover is going to deliver her to.

And Yeadon, you are right of course.

Anyone who would crush this boat has no soul! Hope she treats you well - love the era & lines.

More blocks will be forthcoming, and more pictures. She kind of full of junk at the moment.

Ah, full of junk. That takes me back! I can't wait to hear about the surprises hidden by that junk! But don't worry, we've all been there. It's survivable with support, and possibly beer...
