Default RI Red Herreshoff 12 1/2 stem repair

Our boat is being repaired. The work is not trivial. Louis Sauzedde is working on the Rhode Island Red, our 1939 Herreshoff 12 1/2, in an effort to repair a leak that almost sank us at the end of last season. Watch here for see the genius work that has been done to the little lady since then.https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...IWSY7cCbKbhR3A

Yeah, sorry I don't post much. I thought that the wooden boat forum might be a good place to let people know about a wooden boat shipwright who is making videos about wooden boat repair.

I hope that a good number of people have come to enjoy Lou's videos since I shared a link back in 2014. He's still at it.

I know that he is a respected boat builder but, I was amazed to see Lou scraping bottom paint and red lead with no protection from inhaling the dust! Not a good example for those who might take on a simular project. Reminds me of when the ten meter "Sally" got a new stem at Lido Shipyard.

Have you seen his circular saw blade mounted to a grinder tool?

No but, he must know how to use it as he seems to have all of his digits. I have no doubt that he uses a mask when is is not on camera.
He is a darn good boat builder for sure!
