Default Open Gaff Cutter 22 - 28 ft

Does anyone know of plans for open (no cabin) gaff cutters in the area of 22 to 28 feet?

    FRIGATE'S BOAT
A 23’3” Ship’s Boat for Mr. Ian Bloomfield - this is a strip planked version of a 17th/18th Century Frigate’s Boat - she is modelled on the bluff bowed craft used for general work in the Fleet and will have a carronade with it's slide mounted on the bow! She carries a windlass so that the mast arrangement can be used as a derrick. She has a gaff cutter rig. Beam is 8'.

The 'Frigate's Boat' in post #2 is a Selway-Fisher design.

This is at the high end of your range and while drawn for a cabin I imagine it could be altered to suit. It's a lovely shape -

Almost any gaffer of that size can be built without a cabin. N Warrington- Smyth designed a day boat called the Falmouth 26 which Roger Taylor included in his book of Good Boats. Many of the sloop/cutters we associate with being English, from the Falmouth Oyster boats to Itchen Ferry boats were open boats. From these we have the Virtue and the Bristol Channel Cutter, and Blue Moon. As Wizbang says "I have a sawzall for any pesky cabin"

I recommend Robert Baker " Baker Two Forty " The plans are still available. I built one several years ago and the boat has exceeded my expectations. Beautiful too!

Ha ha... I'm a bit late, just discovering this picture of Zaza, a design of mine sailing on Arcachon bay (France). Length 8.40m .

Hookers (Bad Mor) are too big an have a foredeck.
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

Plans available on the woodenboat website. If the small cabin is too much use Bruce's digital sawzall. He has also drawn a non-centerboard fuller keel option, bilge keels, and with a cabin as I far as I know. For the record.
