What a sad site it was watching us carry the chicken coop out of my shop to the new pen, Wifey was basically carrying it and me, every few steps she made me stop and rest. Don't know what I would ever do without those girls. I am just about as worthless as a human can get.

We all get older. None of us can do the things we could when we were 25. I'm lucky enough that the cancer made me feel a half step over the line into dead... then turned me loose so I could recover. So... I'm on the upswing, and it feels great. But I'm also aware that that upswing is onoly gonna take me so far. I still have to nap sometimes when I get home. The upper limit is set my my age, physical condition, old injuries, etc. And in ten years, I'll be well on my way along the downslope.

But none of that makes my more... or less... valuable. Tulsy - I've said this before, and you don't seem to want to believe it (did someone mention hardheaded???) - YOU are the core of this joint. Without you... it's a good place to hang out. With you... it's a superb place to hang out. YOU make the difference. Because you are you. Because you have the soul of an angel, combines with the gritty knowledge of all of man's failings. And because you've WORKED at it.

Now shut up that nonsense, and have a beer with me --
