Heya, Kevin. Saw these at the store the other day and thought of you, with a big grin.

Hiya Jimmy. I guess it's our turn for rain down here. We got over 5" in 6 hours last night and it's been raining pretty much all morning. Red's like Tip, he hides under my chair or right between my feet and has almost tripped me several times today.

If this keeps up I may have to go out and dig run-off trenches in his berm in the back yard to keep the garage from flooding.

We have had a couple of dry days here now, but the grass sure is growing. The Hill Country Picnic was on the same day as Margo's EBS this year. I didn't make it to either one.

Earlier, after breakfast, I was thinking about how long it's been since I had a ho-made brownie (you know, just a plain old brownie) and found a box of mix in the pantry but the best-by date was 2012.

What do you think? Would they still work or would it be like that time Frye ate the egg salad sandwich from the astro truck stop?

Hmm, there's a break in the weather, I need beer for later anyway and I'll bet I can make it back before Red finishes off the shower curtain.

Let's see, if I bought beer, brownie mix and a bag of Dorito's, I'd probably get searched in the parking lot on the way to my truck.

Spent the morning pulling the flower heads off thistles and then uprooting the plants. Big, gnarly, spiky %$#!@*&^!! The Wolf Goddess has an obsessive-compulsive thing with invasive plants. She wants to get rid of the thistles not just on our place, but on two neighbors and the Game and Fish river access. Next I have to get on a ladder and do something about the holes the damn flickers are drilling in our house. Think I'll screw some mousetraps to the wall and give those feathered vandals a surprise.

But I'd better have a beer and relax for a bit, or I'll do some damage.

    Or, maybe not.

This was a chunk he tore off sometime during the night and when the time-honored tradition of sampling lunch meat or cheese when I come home from the store didn't happen fast enough, he took his frustration out on the bit.

At my parents house, they're being invaded by big blue pigeons.
Never had that problem before, I'm open for suggestions.
