And one from Chad & Jeremy - which is what a bunch of the girls in h.s. used to call my best buddy Bob & me. I made some good impressions singing this to various sweeties while watching the submarine races.

When I mentioned lasting emotional damage caused by Dolly Parton singing Jolene, I thought you said you had a story about Blue Velvet (which was actually a Bobby Vinton song.)

Could have been Curtis or someone else.

I mixed a batch of soil, filled some big pots, and transplanted tomato seedlings. Now I have to go out and look at them several times a day (aren't baby tomato plants cute?) They're definitely quieter than baby chickens.

Hey Chip, I got lots of baby maters, probably fifty or more. I have Black Krim, Mortgage Lifter and some Amish Gold slicers I got seeds for as a bonus thing for buying other seeds. I really need to keep them going for about ten more days before planting. Yes they are a lot quieter and less trouble than the other babies.

Goes good, my team won and advanced to the final game.

Left the stadium two years older, though

Me. The team kinda didn't look like they care until things turned bad.

First match of semi-final was on April Fools, we got a goal but unexpectedly lost 3-1 in the end. I didn't really believe the news at first! The rematch was today, our team is still regarded favourite to win but needs three goals advantage. After twenty minutes of struggle, there's finally a goal - but for the guests! Well dammit, we'll have to score at least three without losing any... it takes another hour until the score is 3-1, and stays that way until the end of standard time. With guests weakened by an early red card, endurance becomes the key - we scored another two and succeeded advancing to the final. But really, the whole stadium was tense until the screen showed 5-1... Only in last few minutes we knew that victory is ours. And to think that these two matches were supposed to be easy to win...

I'll drink something extra to that

I never posted a link on offset cookers (you mean those oildrum thingies with an electric pellet box on one side?) But here are a couple I just found–

No, the link was about how to cook the perfect ribs or something like that, This may have led to another link. It was very scientific really. Kinda like that picture, but a lot more detail. That drawing may have been part of the link I cant remember. That will do for now. Thanks

Well... poooop... I'm slow because Tulsy forgot to call me and wake me up. Yup... that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Until I am bribed to tell another lie... or until someone disagrees <G>

Hope everyone is having a good day. I'm mostly working from home today, though I am gonna have to run down the RiverPlace - the downtown marina - to eyeball the JetBoat project after a conference call with the owner (in Florida, iirc) and the Jet builder (down in Medford - 5 hrs or so south of here).

I put a hex on the place because some ornery wolf played 3 renditions of Blue Velvet, in a row.

Only when it comes to certain things.

I typed half the story early this morning, got a call from the wayward sorceress requesting a location check, she busted my internal GPS and, between my sibs and her riding my phone like an old bike today, I'm just now getting my bearings again.

Ha! Will you tell your tale of Blue Velvet trauma if I recount my Jolene jolt?

Now we have to argue over who goes first. . .

Following the interruption from the ringing of the sorceress' bedside bell, it dawned on me that the funniest part of my story -if there is a funny part-the trauma element, was a result of me sharing the tale with some pals, old workmates.

So, no argument from me. if you beat me to it, have at it.
