Got a bottle of Monte Alban Mezcal an hour ago, brought it home, poured two shots, quartered a lime, and shot both shots...one for myself and one for Bobby.
After all, what are friends for anyhow?

Here ya go, Tulsy! On your recommendation... I went out and bought some classy Mezical. Well... not TOO classy, cause I wasn't sure I'd like it. I haven't worked up the nerve to try it yet... so you can be the guinea pig. It's called El Scorpio Spitto. Bottled by some friends of bbbbbbys, right there in New Joisey! And here's a slice of lime. Heck... here's a whole lime sliced up... you might need it. Let me know what you thunk. Should I drink it... or feed it to the dog? No!! Not my dog. That yappy little pissant dog next door that barks at me when I'm wandering around my own back 40!

I told you, you already had yours...I drank it for you!
Of course you can have a shot and a slice of lime!
Tell that Mister G guy they don't make any Mezcal in Joisey.

    That's great, Bobby!
I know you will enjoy them.
Here's you another shot of Mezcal and a slice of lime.
The girl who owns the liquor store told me there had been a run on Mezcal the past few months.
I asked her if it was mostly Mexicans buying it and she said no it has been Anglos.
I was surprised since none of my friends drink it.
They say I'm crazy for drinking it.
I tell them I damn well may be crazy but it ain't from drinking Mezcal...it just comes with age!

Afternoon guys and gals, good to see a couple of old pro's edgy-catin' Meester G about the finer things in life. If your also thinking to correct his beer dis-tastes, it might take more drastic measures, he seems a little more feisty on that issue and you might need some help. I'm here for you's.

Last night you or David played Mercy Now and I was in just the right mood I had to listen to it four times.
One of the best ever done for me.
Ooops nobody here played Mercy Now last night. I played on You tube on my own.

Easy with the brilliant stuff there. You might want to hold off until I tell the story of why I have a smart phone. Here's the short of it; it wasn't my idea, I was content with my stupid flip phone.

Your right, Bobby, I forgot. I hope I didn't build up undue anticipation, there wasn't much to it. Fred did a guest apearance along with a few of my old boat builder pals and the weird part, well, one of the weird parts, was they all knew each other. I remeber thinking, 'Fred can't be all that normal if he knows these jokers'.

He had this little white convertible, a Mazda of some sort, not a Miata but an older version maybe. The rear end of the car had a custom fantail stern built onto it, teak cap rail, teak aft deck and all. Kinda cool looking actually. When I asked if it was his he got this big cheezy grin, started raising his eyebrows, giving the thumbs up and winking at me. You could tell he was pretty proud of it.

That's about all the further I got before waking up. Don't worry though. If he knows that crew, I'll prolly see him again one of these nights.

Who the hell took my parts cleaner? I had this killer solvent in an old booze bottle, ready to wash some greasy parts, and some daft buggers swiped it right off the bar.

Hope they don't drink that stuff. It'll rot their brains, strike 'em blind, and make their boy-parts shrivel up.

By the way, the Rat-dog sends greetings.

Twern't I, Chip. I still have this bottle of parts cleaner Lefty sent me. It makes good paint-gun stripper too so I'll be needing it soon.

Look at the cool markings on that little gal. What a cutie.

Okay Amber and Jett, put on your cutoff coveralls without a shirt and go stand on the front porch!
I'll put the steamer full of tamales on the bar, along with a coffee can full of quarters for the jukebox and a washtub full of ice and free beers.
Maybe we can lure some unsuspecting visitors in here from the highway.
I can't keep on paying you girls 39 dollars a week plus room and board if we have no customers.

Yanno Jett told me you was paying her $39/wk. She also told me that, on average, she loans the various Bilge Rats about $63/wk. Good thing she's got other income!

I'm in the mood for oysters... so I picked up a batch on the way home. Here they are... help yourself, everyone! There's 8 more trays in the kitchen...

Another from my girl Mary. Did I tell y'all we've swapped emails back & forth & become FB friends? I first emailed her and told her that my sweetie was using "Mercy Now" in her Universalist Recovery Church services... and she was really touched. She's a sweetheart.

The oysters were inspired by my niece. She sent me some fotos of my old stomping grounds. They went to dinner last night, and a drive. Across the Megler bridge (mouth of the Columbia), then up the peninsula to Long Beach. They got pizza... but it made me think of the times I'd done the same drive to get some oysters from Willapa Bay. Mmmmm... delicious! The one's I got today were from Newport Bay... but every bit as delicious.
