I've been working on my doctorate of nothingness and building a small suspension bridge in my back yard not much other than that Kev, great to see you buddy! Sorry to hear about your slow spell work wise best of luck to you I'm sure the big times are just around the corner!

Actually I popped in the pub yesty and said hi then it burned down before I checked back! I was worried I left something burning but no.... bloody hell. Lefty if your lookin in your the man. Glad Glen opened up, great crowd only one wannabe that no one talks to its all good...

Okay, a couple bits of good news.

First, it seems the lime crisis may be over. My local grocer is back to 10 for $1.00. They're a bit small, but haven't seen that price for a while.

Second, I got a job offer. Last night, around 5PM, a recruiter called to tell me to expect an offer for a 3 month contract position with (a food company). This morning, I got the call, and an email with the "onboarding" documents to be filled out, scanned, and returned. Criminy! Fourteen pages for the contract company and four pages for the client!!! It's a food company - not the DoD!!

So, I'm scanning the docs, and the phone rings. It's the owner of a company I interviewed at yesterday. He offered me that job at what would be 16K per year more base, plus year end bonus, plus full bennies, plus 11 paid holidays, plus 15 PDOs. And, it's a half hour from home, instead of an hour and fifteen minutes.

I was out 7-1/2 months, used up my unemployment payments the first of April (jerks in Congress playing games), and couldn't get a bite all that time. Feast or famine, eh?

Hot damn, hot DAMN, HOT DIGGITY DAMN!

A mix of milk and seawater. Didn't taste it.

In Sitka, I did set out some hemlock boughs at low tide, weighted with rocks, and they were heavy with herring roe- delicious!
