It's not the same without the smiley face.
I don't regularly drink coffee or get up this time of the day, but since I woke up I'll put some coffee and water in the pot and see how it comes out.
I was born and grew up in the Mississippi Delta which was the cradle of the blues, but even into my twenties knew almost nothing about it. I did get to see Sam Chatmon and Son Thomas play together back in 1976. I used to listen to Led Zeppelin, the Stones, Allman Brothers and Clapton and all sing about places over there and wonder where they got the names. Much later, I decided that I needed to learn more about the origin of the blues.
Every story has an end and ... a villain.
Sam Chatmon used to fish regularly in the lake at the park where I worked in 1976. I am still upset with myself for not getting to know him better.
It cannot be worse than BOT's, and I got used to that, so fill er up. I regularly drink a lot of coffee, and usually start things off with a quick perusal of the Pub, and a soulful tune, so I will miss it.
Here is to all the usual suspects, and to some of the unusual ones, too.

Where's Bobby?

Me too not. I had Mesa Sunrise (whole grain organic cereal with all kind of weird hippy grains) with raisins (and they call YOU 'unusual'). And a cup of coffee. I did take the time to make myself a sandwich for lunchtime - hard salami and smoked turkey and sharp cheddar on rye.

I hate to think Lefty left here feeling unappreciated.
For what it's worth, "I" appreciated all he tried to do here.

Found this under Lefty's user info.

Is it possible to UNdelete a thread?
And maybe more appropriately in this case, "Is it desirable?"
Or do we just go with a new start?
The best statement I've seen from this latest carnage came from a student who lived through it -
"My generation will not allow this to continue!"
Remember voting age is 18. Read it and weep reds.
I've never seen a thread undeleted but I really don't know if that's possible.

I suspect Scot could resurrect just about anything.
But given that it's Doug's thread and he deleted it (after locking it at least once) I suppose it should be undeleted at his request. Also, given that he's banned...
This is getting into Catch 22 territory.
Never mind.
Forget it.
Carry on.

I suspect Lefty is not banned but may choose to be done with the forum.
I guess I'll have to call him eh?

If you look at his profile, the Send Private message option is missing. I think that he is banned, but can not explain the activity.
You can't be active when you're banned.
Don't ask me how I know this.

Just as an FYI, it's possible to turn off receiving PM's in edit options. He has the 'email' option enabled, FWIW.
Shame that eclectic listing of all that great music is gone - life goes on.

It's the menus that I will miss, If I could find another place that had daily menus like that I would never leave...

Glad you showed up under the circumstances, Bobby!
I hope you don't mind I started this thread so those of us who have become friends can visit in one place.
I hope everybody can ignore the "distraction"!
A jar of Herradura and a Lone Star and a lime for you, my friend.
Get well quick!

It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

Just got back from a couple weeks in Ireland and somebody burnt down the Pub. Hell of a note.
Gimme a Powers whiskey and a pull of the Guinness.
Great news Fred.
I applied for unemployment today.
