Afternoon, pals. Good to see yous trudging through the challenges.

I'm mere hours away from shutting TF up about my lack of gas. No, I mean it this time.

Plumbers were here all day yesterday roughing in the lines, the gas co was here at the crack of 9:00 installing the meter . . . The city guy did the inspection (consisting of looking the meter over for a couple minutes) and we're first on the que tomorrow morning to get appliances hooked up and connected to the meter. Oh fn boy!

^Yep they really color up in the spring, but they still have more color than the one Fred posted. It may have to do with water clarity or something.

I had to dust the stove the other day and I think the dryers warrantee is about to run out. But yeah, not bad overall. And I'm alone in that assessment 'round here.

I got a hell of an education from the guy who installed the meter. He spent a half hour tutoring and I stand to come away 1k to the good , between rebates, that he couldnt believe noone had told me about, and how a #45 drillbit in a specific orifice converts a gas grille from lp to nat gas.

I see I'm stepping in the door with perfect timing again!

Took a short nap. Got some work done. Still haven't managed to get into the shower yet. Gotta do that soon, or my sweetie will ignore my brilliant proposals for this evening <G>

Here's what the crappie look like here. I fished for 'em as a kid, but only c&r. No patience for the bones.

I wrote another long post... and it poofed. Rats!!!

Short answer. I did. Learned to fillet on crappie. Too much work when all the bigger local fish were available. And salmon, sturgeon, ling cod, halibut, etc. are all better eating for much less work.

When the electric goes out, you'll still be able to cook on the stove.
    Provided you have matches.
    I love gas stoves.

On most of the newer stoves you need electric to use the oven, they all are digital and no power means no settings. You can light the burners with a match.

The first time I used the self cleaning thing on my stove it locked me out and I had to call a repair man to open it. The dang thing was still under warranty so it cost me nothing. A circuit board went bad.

The electrician was here a few weeks back and turned the old 22o into 110, just for the occasion. I'm chomping at the bit here.

Been a long time since I was in a battlefield, hoped I would never see one again. Now I am not so sure, I really don't want this in my back yard or yours. Maybe this jar of Mezcal will help the anxiety or maybe not.

I'm having an early beer to celebrate. I just did a demo of the dryer for the cougar and she launched into her best Meg Ryan impersonation from the restaurant scene in When Harry met Sally. That alone was worth it!
