Sheesh Bobby, falling on hard surfaces is not what you want, and there's enough bad news on the Forum today as it is.
I'm cutting down a half a dozen 30ft weed species trees and getting rid of the tops at present. So far they've all dropped where I wanted them, but I'm leaving the hardest to last. I think I'm feeling my age………..

G'day to all the other denizens of the place.

I am pleasantly surprised that riding a bike is way less painful than walking.
I am huffing and puffing more than I remember.
    Gotta build up my endurance.
The world at bike speed is pretty cool.
Bobby we both need canes when trying to walk.
My feet just won't do what I tell em to do.

Like you I fall down but I get up again.
Sometimes I lay there for awhile before I get up.

Bad heat here for the next 10 days...and high humidity.
I'm limited to the first two hours after daylight then it's all day inside for me.
I don't know how I worked outdoors in this kind of weather back in my younger days.

    It's already a hot summer.
I feel like I'm moving in slow motion when it gets like that.
    I don't get much done.
Cooler days will be here soon enough.

Took me a few tries to get out of bed this morning, I guess I am a bit old for that bouncing around on the ground stuff. The coffee is going to have to wait I am just going to sit here a while.

I think I damaged more than my pride with that fall, besides all the soreness I think I knocked another screw loose. That was probably the hardest fall I have taken in a long time.

Well it's good to hear that you are morte or less vertical this morning. I learned how to fall when climbing, rehab from a rugby injury that involved dancing helped, skiing also helped and I still automatically roll when I unbalance or fall.
I'm taking a break from trees tomorrow, strained a shoulder lifting a log. If there is a breeze I may take my canoe sailing.
Meantime I'm having a dram or three of Glenlivet and listening to Tampa Red.

I guess I have learned. to fall fairly good at least I haven't broken any bones yet. That was an unexpected fall, going up stairs with my cane in one hand and the stair railing in the other and the next thing I know is boom I am on the ground.

We're rounder than we used to be... you'd think we'd bounce better. Sadly... that would be incorrect.

Hope you didn't pull any muscles, are torque any tendons and ligaments. If you're out of commission for any length of time... there's that whole string of girlfriends that'll be very disappointed <G> Time to baby the injured bits, and stretch the rest. A hot bath followed by a cold shower might help. G'luck!!!

I think I hurt my neck more than anything, another step up and I would have probably made a complete flip or just broke my neck.

I forgot to say my head really slammed down hard but as you know it will take quite a lot to damage that part of me.

I've done various athletic things my whole life. Therefore lots of such minor injuries. I find that the easiest home remedy is alternating heat and cold packs or baths. Heat brings blood and fluids to the area, with all the healing attributes. Cold flushes it all back out for circulating thru all the 'cleansing' organs. Repeat until your tired of the drill... but as much as you can. Gentle stretching helps too, so things don't seize up. Just as long as you don't aggravate the hurting bits. You can do this! If not for your own self... than think of that string of poor deprived girlfriends!!! <G>

Hi Glen, nice tune. It has just stopped raining up here so the heat hasn't kicked in yet. Got any booze left? I think I could use some pain killer.
