My favorite chickens are the rag tag brood that the nurse across the street has. I get a rainbow of eggs for only two colors of squash.

It must be my morning to brew a pot of coffee and pour some Jack in it!
Bloody Marys are in Lefty's heirloom silver pitcher in the cooler.
I hope Kevin comes through the swinging doors today!

Morning Glen I kinda just got lazy this morning and I been waiting for some one to drop in this place. My early morning coffee usually goes a begging as the old folks would say.

Today is Sandy's birthday. This morning I sang happy birthday to her at 3:30, she smiled and said can you believe that kid you married is an old woman now?

Man this is a lonesome old saloon. I guess some folks have a real life. Oh well Lefty will call me in a few minutes to be sure I took my meds. Then I will mess around in the kitchen and wash up a few dishes. After that who knows, depends on how I am feeling I guess.

A little music from the days when Glen was young and hung out in those old saloons.

Glen, thanks for that Jimmy "Duck" yesterday, I didn't know about that album. Seems it was just released this year. It was produced by Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys. Duck was supposed to tour with the Black Keys this year. Eric Deaton was on bass. About 2 years ago, I saw Duck in Clarksdale. After his set, I asked him about buying one of his CDs he asked what size t-shirt I wanted, then said everybody that bought a CD got a free t-shirt. CD and Bentonia festival t-shirt for $10. Best deal ever.

I recorded this at last years Bentonia festival on Jimmy 'Duck's farm.

When I first heard Cream sing about going up to Rosedale, I wondered what Rosedale they meant. I didn't know anything about Robert Johnson then and didn't know they took the line from him.

This crazy dog, much of the time, I have to help him stand up and hold him until he gets his balance. He was just in the front yard and saw two dogs from down the road and was heading across the road to chase them out of what he thinks is his territory. I had to stop him.

I will be glad when this woman of mine gets home, I need her to watch me to back my travel trailer. I really don't want to back through the fence. My mirrors are just not wide enough to see all I need to see. I can see one side but the other side is totally out of sight. Well I got it hooked up and out in the middle of the yard so that is a start. As soon as I can get an appointment I need to get it to the RV shop and get this hail damage fixed.

My niece and her husband bought a travel trailer with hail damage. They got a big discount. My youngest sister is getting a new roof on her house paid for by insurance company because of hail.

I am getting a new roof on my house my garden shed my chicken coop and my 24x30 shop with a metal roof. I see no point in the shop or chicken coop but the lady said if I didn't do it now they would not cover a later claim. I told the roofer guy I was way more picky about my shop than my house and it better be right.

The insurance people handed me a direct deposit of Ten thousand dollars. No roofing company will talk to you with out knowing how much money the insurance gave you and they have to know what the company will pay for. One thing they won't do is replace my beat up mail box which the insurance is paying for. Having the same insurance for thirty years goes a long way.

    Happy birthday Sandy.

I had a grate day like really grate. Caught a bit of the news, HMM. The water heater broke and the A/C is acting up. I dug up half the back yard looking for the condinsate drain, something I usta service analy no annually. Found it, a metal grate, on to the water heater, 18 years old, hmm. I'll get a new one tomorrow but it looks like we have a small leak from the upstairs potty.

Anyway I am gonna keep my head low cuz if the cops want to get their numbers right they are gonna have to take out some uppity long haired greybeards.
