    Thanks Garland,

I love big band. When I was a kid my parents would take us across the river to the District to go listen and dance to a big band at the officers club at Bolling Air Force Base. When big band came back in the late 90's, I had one leg up being able to swing.

The radio station my mother listened to in the afternoon played big band. When I got off the school bus mom would be swinging in the kitchen.

And she didn't even start with a cocktail until dad got home at 5:15.

Everybody back then seemed to dance anytime the music played, I remember those times well.

My wife and youngest daughter do not dance, when one of those old tunes play they both try to stay out of my reach. My feet don't work like they used to but I still try and the wife kinda trys to humor me, I think she kinda likes for me to hold her up close.

I just watched Amanda's show for today. She mentioned Joe Diffie at the beginning and did one of his songs. She said she thought about doing "Prop me up by the jukebox", but decided that would be bad form.

    Nice Jimmy,

You could feel her emotion in that. I just played it for Ken and our little dog Dolly.

    Good night gents, stay strong!

Morning Kevin, I got mine spent if it comes, a new hot water tank installed, mine has been in this house since 1981 and that check should just cover what my plumber quoted me on that job. New pipes valves and tank and he hauls the old stuff away.

Hey Glen, been kind of misty, drizzly here all morning. Form the looks of the weather map the real rain should be here within the hour. This weather is sure hard on this old worn out fart.

Hi Jimmy, I guess you really don't need any more rain. Looks like Garland is getting wet.

Here in Georgia things are starting to dry out. A bit of rain will wash the pollen off. Both my black Tacoma and my white F-150 are yellow now.

I am not much for wine but it should help ease the pain. The wine fairy musta come by last night.

Bobby, that wine is from California. You better send it to me.

Jimmy, my dark green Tacoma has looked like it has yellow metal flake for the last couple months. From certain angles it looks like Green Bay Packers colors. Its easing up here, except when i park under my buddies live oak by his driveway. It's always the last tree to dump pollen around here.

I was so surprise by the wine I forgot to mention the Modelo Especial that was in the box with it. I kinda like this to my door delivery. It would be much more fun to have someone to drink it with, but desperate times and all that. You just gotta suck it up and do what ya gotta do.
