Ha! That's my SOP, and I usually forget to turn the oven off. Thank goodness, it's electric, and not gas.

Curt skyped me this afternoon, his lady said hi to me and then left us alone to bs, he is so full of life and love and I am so happy for him. I told him I hope it last a hundred years my friend. I guess for someone I have never met in person just on camera I have to say he is my best friend. We have spent many hours and shared so much of our lives with each other. He prolly knows more of my life than anybody and I know him just as well. Live long and prosper my friend.

Ok, fires all turned off no smoke in the house so all is good. Thank you again Jimmy I had totally forgotten it. I sure wish my brain still worked.

From Rachel; "haha - so i put this together from a few different people's cell phone footage that i pulled off facebook and adjusted til it all lined up timewise. hope y'all like it!"

I was on the left side of the stage. I don't see myself in this video.

Rachel has only been performing by herself for a few months since Smilin' Bob Lewis died. I drove 200 miles round trip up to Helena and back that day mostly to be there to support Rachel. She was playing bass drum with her right foot, cymbals with her heel, snare drum with her left foot, playing guitar and harmonica and singing.

If I remember correctly, Rachel played violin with a symphony for years. She met Bob through her parents and decided that what he was doing looked like more fun, so he taught her to play his style of blues. Somewhere on YouTube is an interview with Bob where he said that she didn't like to sing when she first started playing with him. She got over that.

I think that I am in the first Rachel video. I went over to the other side of the stage, on Rachel's right, to get photos from that side. I can be seen there and heading back toward the other side.

The second Rachel video wasn't entirely recorded in Helena, but the last part was.

Morning David, I hope you don't lose the vision in your left ear like I did when I was out of Tequila for a couple of days.

It was good catching up yesterday. I've been missing our talks. She tells me things will calm down around here and urged me to do better at keeping in touch with you once it does. Life is changing at light speed here but we're settling into our new routines. I'll try to incorporate more Bob Time in my new schedule.

You've been a good pal to me for years now, Bob, and i appreciate all the hours we spent working out the worlds problems. It meant a lot having a fellow insomniac to touch base with in the wee hours.

I showed Shawn the song you played and she wondered how you picked one of her current faves. It old her, Bobby just knows things, don't ask me how. And yes she's a country fan, along with a bunch of other genre's. One of the first things she did here was get my smart tv set up with her pandora music app. It plays music from her preferences all day long. It ranges from country to classic rock, to R&B and an occasional classical tune from Bach or Devaldi. All over the map. (Sorry Jimmy, she's not big on blues, she likes more light or upbeat. "Life is blue enough already." She also doesn't care for my Soundgarden or Jeff Beck, but she came with an awesome bluetooth headset for times when I want 'working music'.)

I can't tell you how great it is to have the house filled with music again. I'll be in the back room whistling along with a song and i can hear her singing in the living room. The Tennessee Whiskey song gets her going every time it plays.
