    Morning All, and Happy Thanksgiving!!

Well... first cup of coffee is on board. Dressing is made. Turkey is stuffed, and in the oven. Decided not to do oysters in the stuffing this year, then forgot to get mushrooms. So I went a bit heavy on the celery, rye bread, walnuts, and onions. Every year, it's a bit different. This year more than most.

Time for a celebratory tot of rum, eh?

Morning Mr.G, happy thanksgiving to you. The wife is home today for a change and I am banned from any interference in the kitchen, well except carrying out trash and emptying these dang beer cans.

Anybody recognize Rita in that still from the "A Little Help From My Friends" video above?

RITA COOLIDGE - "We're all alone" is the name of this song... written and recorded by Boz Scaggs in 1976... covered by Rita Coolidge in 1977...

Shannon was one of the back-up singers in that video also. I think I have a photo of her wearing the same sparkly top as she was wearing in that video.

Survived another one. The first folks arrived just before 11 am, and the last ones just left a few minutes ago. Made for a crowded house.

Two wild dogs who love to see each other and don't slow down the whole time. Babies to be dandled, and who think non-stop attention is their just due. Lucky there were 7 adults to share the duty. Even though I just saw them a few days ago, they each had new tricks. The baby had a whole new style of giggle. The older had some new words.

Music, singing, and lots of yak. Mostly guitar, but a bit of piano when the youngster wanted to dance (he prefers the piano to dance to), and when my sweetie played a couple of new tunes she's working on for a musical she's writing. The food was even better than expected. I did the simplest and the best gravy I've ever done. The d-i-l's chocolate truffle cheesecake was to die for. I was so stuffed, I didn't even have room for second dessert, but they left me some apple crisp from our friend's home-grown apples for later. Maybe tomorrow. I'm so full... maybe it'll be next week.

Gonna be an early night. Luckily, the guests cleaned up a bunch before they left. I'll finish it off tomorrow.

Atmosphere and Environment make the coffee betta.
    State of mind helps.
That's where the bourbon comes in.

Haven't heard from The Tulsmanian Deviltry. I imagine he's recuperating. I certainly am. Slept in, then started the laundry march and finished cleaning up the aftermath. Dishes to put away. Table to strip & shrink. Then I sat down to breakfast of coffee & the Apple Crisp I missed yesterday. Mmmmmmm. I didn't use milk in the coffee... I used some of the 'EggNog Wine' that the kids brought. For a gimmick, it was quite good. And 13+% alcohol helped the social lubrication (not that this mob needs it).

Hope everyone is well and good this beautiful mornin!!

Sorry for not checking in but two days of this rain kicks my butt, I suffered through the meal and then off to my bed room and hooked up to my oxy and dehumidifier.where I spent the next 12 or 15 hours. I feel like I have been ran over by a truck and left on the side of the road, If I could say I was just depressed that would be like on a high. I haven't found bottom yet but I surely must be close.
