Hi, Syed, David.
Hi, Syed, David.
Hi Syed, how are you today?
"para todo mal, mezcal, y para todo bien también" (for everything bad, mezcal, and for everything good, as well.)
I hope all are enjoying the good weather worldwide.
Morning Jimmy, is it stormy over your way?
"para todo mal, mezcal, y para todo bien también" (for everything bad, mezcal, and for everything good, as well.)
I am good, Bobby, how about you?
More clearer, at least.I'm not myself this morning - got up way earlier than usual, cleaned up the kitchen, did two loads of wash before breakfast, and I have three more loads to go. Everything came up to need washing at once this time around. Weird.
Yep, I'm liking Bronwynne, Jimmy.
"We all have a gift, Frank. Yours will reveal itself. Eventually."
Nope, It is a very nice day. Some high overcast, but sun shining through and 68 degrees. 20-30% chance of showers. Think about paddling the pirogue on Deer Creek this afternoon.
I hardly ever run into Bronwynne. I saw her sister Eden perform 2 weeks ago and their brother and father was there. I saw Eden's husband Friday evening, but he was alone.
left over tamales for lunch.

Just talked to some friends who spent yesterday on the mountain. Maybe 2-2.5' up there already.

We are supposed to get stormy weather after sundown, I can tell things are changing, that really good day kinda went south a couple of hours ago.Right now I am in the midst of building a meatloaf, I kinda forgot to turn on the oven. In a few minutes it will be ready to cook. I still get somethings done just not always in the right order.

Mezcal and Lone Star...Yes!
Thank you, Sir!
Is it meatloaf yet?
it's been 10 minutes.
Curt skyped me this afternoon, his lady said hi to me and then left us alone to bs, he is so full of life and love and I am so happy for him. I told him I hope it last a hundred years my friend. I guess for someone I have never met in person just on camera I have to say he is my best friend. We have spent many hours and shared so much of our lives with each other. He prolly knows more of my life than anybody and I know him just as well. Live long and prosper my friend.![]()

From Rachel; "haha - so i put this together from a few different people's cell phone footage that i pulled off facebook and adjusted til it all lined up timewise. hope y'all like it!"
I was on the left side of the stage. I don't see myself in this video.
Pretty Thing - Rachel Ammons
Amazing, Jimmy! Thanks!
Rachel has only been performing by herself for a few months since Smilin' Bob Lewis died. I drove 200 miles round trip up to Helena and back that day mostly to be there to support Rachel. She was playing bass drum with her right foot, cymbals with her heel, snare drum with her left foot, playing guitar and harmonica and singing.

One more from that show.
rollin & tumblin
If I remember correctly, Rachel played violin with a symphony for years. She met Bob through her parents and decided that what he was doing looked like more fun, so he taught her to play his style of blues. Somewhere on YouTube is an interview with Bob where he said that she didn't like to sing when she first started playing with him. She got over that.
I think that I am in the first Rachel video. I went over to the other side of the stage, on Rachel's right, to get photos from that side. I can be seen there and heading back toward the other side.
The second Rachel video wasn't entirely recorded in Helena, but the last part was.
