I sure miss a lot of the folks that used to hang out here, I guess they all grew up and moved away or something like that. This place is kind of a security blanket for me. When I am not real sure what is going on in my head it seems I can always find a friend here.

They knock down burrs I can't reach, and I pull them apart to get the nuts out. They eat some, and I grab some. I've got 86 so far, and I figure to get another 40 - 50 tomorrow.
At our house - it's been harvesting kiwi before the hard frost. They're almost all still green, but they ripen fine off the vine. Maybe two 5=gal. buckets worth so far, with a bit more waiting.

    Cool Re: Byob !!!!!!

I've been consumed with medical stuff and getting my truck ready for winter.
    I should be fishing.
Today is cold and windy and the lake is kinda rough.
    Tomorrow should be better.
Monday I start painting the front porch.

As handsome as ever... and twice as modest!

The youngest son was here most of the afternoon. Helping clean up some of the mess in the yard and sort things - now that the arborists are done (except for stump grinding). I cut up some scraps for firewood. We talked about The Plan moving forward. Next step is to get the landscape designer back, now that things are cleared out a bunch, and now that we all (esp. my sweetie) can see a cleaner palette.

Those boys are a big help. The older is coming over tomorrow afternoon for some more of the same. The younger will probably come over too, if he gets all his homework done. That means I get to teach both of the babies how to operate a Sawzall. That 'bad influence' thing... it's NOT just an honorary title. <G>

Not hard. I just quarter them and eat like orange sections - leaving the skin for the compost bucket. Which is fitting... as kiwis - while having their own distinct and delicious taste - do remind me just a bit of citrus.

I know people that scuff off all the fuzz and eat them whole. Now THAT sounds like work. And if you miss a spot? Ewwwwww!!!

A need to or want to know thing. Do you like the Carolina vinegar bbq sauce, the southerner sweet sauce or the Alabama white bbq sauce?

I have never had the white sauce just read about it. Maybe an Alabama person will say something about it.

In JUST that order, with the white sauce a distant third.

It's still baseball season as far as I'm concerned.
Another cuppa coffee won't kill me.
What's on the brunch menu eh?

I left Helena a bit too early last night. I forgot that Alice Hasen was performing after Rachel Ammons. I saw Alice and said hello. She doesn't know me at all. I saw her play with Razorblade, Heather, Lee and Walt once and asked Heather later who she was. She is an extremely beautiful young lady

    Morning All,

We slept in this morning after our day of yard work, firewood moving. Still calling for another day or three of dry. I can use it.

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Bobby, are you watching this race at Talladega? This is some of the ballsiest bump drafting lap after lap that I’ve ever seen. Especially this early in the race.
