    Good morning!

Watched neighbor’s dog last night while she had her appendix out. Seems strange in her mid 50s.

    Dog is half pit/half lab.

A little scary, a little sweet. We’ve made peace but he’s not sure he wants to listen to me. No sit-no breakfast.

Morning Tom. I noticed that someone was taken to the hospital in south Austin after a shooting last night. Could have something to do with the lockdown. https://www.kxan.com/news/local/aust...-south-austin/

I'm here, Jimmy. Busy making room in the house, getting rid of unneeded stuff. Anyone in the market for a teak living room set?

I've read about bits of that history. Interesting article. Thanks! The ruins of the foundation of the old terminal are still there, along with a brief history of the airport and local inhabitants. I'm glad the area was never successfully developed.

I see now where a lot of the lore comes from that is based around the area. As kids we'd take girls out there at night and tell one of the million versions about 5he maniacal axe murderer who lived in the woods there, just to scare them into snuggling up close to the boys. It usually worked but they always insisted we take the party elsewhere. After we rolled up the windows and lock the car doors.

Good morning Curtis. Kinda cool here today. I almost felt like putting on long pants. High of 80 today here in the foothills of the Georgia mountains.

If its cooling off there, that means we'll be getting some relief from the heat here soon. Already seeing signs, overnight lows have been dipping below 80° and highs are 90° or less. 74° felt pretty good this morning.

This earth quake in my body has moved on for the moment, It was at least a five on the richter scale. I sometimes wonder how much more of this crap I will have to endure. Hope all of you are having a better day than I am.

Yep. And he was screaming. Hope he is ok. Hope I never get shot. Staff was strangely indifferent.

I'm sorry that you are having another bad day, Bobby.

Tom, the staff are probably too accustomed to things like that. My little sister was a nurse. They have to put up with a lot of bad stuff.

I guess most folks are snoozing about now, so I will try not to make to much noise. I got close to three hours of sleep tonight so I am good for a while. Feeling a bit better this morning.

Hello to all. And thanks, Bobby, for the link to the story on the Church Studio renovations. So good to see that it will continue to be a place for making music! I hope the final product will keep a bit of nostalgia from back when Leon Russell owned it.... oh to be a fly on the wall of that place back then.... but then again, I suppose you’d have been swatted to bits in pretty short order! Maybe a fly, just hanging out very, very covertly in the corner!

You are wecome Garland, back in the late 50s early 60s My uncle had a dance studio almost right across the street from it. I think the building is now a Funeral home. The building That is or was Locke electric and Plumbing was the Foodtown grocery store.

I am sure you, like most folks need the money in this day and time. Not like you can live off a back yard garden and a few chickens any more. I have not found anyone that would trade work or other goods for my eggs.
