Ah yes. The notorious yellow Jacket incident. A fading memory by now - I hope.
I just came back with some hard ductwork for the dryer. I'd used that Flexi-stuff originally, and although it held okay, it has developed a few holes (not good with a gas dryer), and it's basically a 12 foot lint trap, so out it goes.

I know I promised the wife I would fix her Enchiladas and and Mexican rice, but that thought is long gone. The Girl is busy and does not want to come by and help me so I guess when the wife gets home she can find some thing to eat. What a disappointment to her I must be. I knew I should have done it earlier but I hoped to make a fresh meal for her and not left overs or warm up stuff. Stick a fork in me I am done.

Ha ha, Fred. I think I put a pretty big dent in their underground enterprise a few evenings ago.... once my ankle got strong enough that I thought I could retreat if I needed too!

I love enchiladas, but yeah, a bit of a a hassle. With nobody here to set up an assembly line, I have to be in a particularly good frame of mind to tackle enchiladas. I do a super easy cheat for Mexican rice. just do the rice in the Instant Pot with the juice from a can of Ro*Tel tomatoes, then dump in the solids after the rice is done. Easy-peasy.

    let’s talk tamales
Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.

I've never acquired a taste for tamales. I've always found them incredibly dry. It's possible I've never had a good one - or maybe it's because I have only one functioning salivary gland.

I love Tamales, but My family does not. I don't mind making them at all. My wife's store sells a a brand that cost less than what I can make them for and they are really good. Don't think I don't know good Mexican food.

The honey bees were all over my humming bird feeders, so I set up some bee feeders. Well I think every bee in Tulsa county is at my house, way to go bees.

Good evening, Glen. I tell ya, the ladies do it sooooo nice.

Bobby, I've never heard of a bee feeder. Sounds cool, but are you sure you're not attracting YELLOW JACKETS!!!

I wanted to see Andrea perform last Sunday. I didn't make it up to Como until about 5 o'clock. As I was walking toward the stage, I thought it sounded like her. I got to the stage just in time to hear her finish her last song. She walked over to her car to put up her guitar and I thought about walking over to speak to her, but decided to wait. She ended up leaving soon after that. Little Joe Ayers said she had to get to a show in Memphis. John Shaw is finally getting around to posting stuff from that picnic.

Just a shallow dish with something they can land on and not drown, with sugar water like humming bird food.

Well, good on you, Bobby. Honeybees are scarcer than feathers on an alligator around here.

This is funny. When I was putting the bikes away, I thought I'd spend a little time getting some junk out of the garage. Spotted a box from a Skillsaw, looked under the workbench, and there was my Skillsaw, so I figured it's time to get rid of that empty box. Except, it wasn't empty - there's a a brand new saw in the box!!!
    Didn't know I had that!

Honey bees are pretty rare here also now. I saw one drinking from my bird bath yesterday and wondered where it came from. I don't know of any bee keepers close by so it was probably a wild one.
