That falling on ice can kill a person, And falling on your back means that your head is definitely going to slam the ground.

Like I said - one lucky SOB. I was wearing a rolled up stocking cap at the time, and if my head did hit (I don't remember, cuz it didn't hurt) then the stocking cap acted like a bumper.

Tomorrow's trash collection day (we used to call it garbage day), and there's plenty of room in the cart, so I'm filling it with as much as I can from the basement. I swear, someday, that will be one big empty room.

I bet you find something to fill the empty space that you are making. Like maybe I should keep this, I may need it someday.

I'll do my best to avoid that trap! But, if I end up with a few perimeter shelf units neatly filled with useful stuff, I'll still call it a win.

I do not know why I keep a twenty five cent item to clutter a shelf that I will never need. I have a five gallon bucket full of galvanized half inch pipe fittings, they have been around for at least thirty years and I will never do any plumbing like that in this life. I just keep old stuff in case someone may need it some day.

Either I misjudged how much room was left in the garbage cart, or I didn't realize how quickly I could gather up basement trash. The cart's full, and I have two more large trash bags filled. Oh well, next week.
I did find a bunch of stuff I can add to the Goodwill pile, and I cleared off a table (who knew I had a table down there?) enough to assemble the chain saw I bought last year. I can feel the backyard trees quivering.

I'm glad that stuff works for you, Paul. All it did for me was make my wrist hurt even more for about four weeks.
It was the Physician's Assistant who administered it. Maybe she missed the mark.

My goal is to roller skate again some day.
I'd settle for riding a bike or walking without a limp.
    I know, crazy eh?

Wait. How do you ride a bike with a limp?
Good luck, Kevin. I never heard of refilling a knee.

I'm back from my run. Somewhat successful, I guess. The donation and recycling part went well. Not sure about the beer part yet.

my surgeon has a three month wait to get a knee replacement done, is that a good sign or a bad sign?

    Could be either.
Good, if it's because he's got a lot of patients because he's really good.
Bad, if it's because you're not as important as everyone else.

Hi, Jimmy. I'm trying to get the bike thing going. I have a beautiful bike, but I erred when ordering it. I based the frame size on my leg length (I have a 34" inseam). Unfortunately, I'm half legs, so my arms are T-Rex short. I get on the bike, and I'm like, "Whoa, why are those handlebars so far away?" I've switched to 3" rise handlebars, and changed the stem head so there's zero out front of the stem, but it's still a stretch. Can't go any higher because the bike has hydraulic brakes, and I'd have to get longer lines. I may end up doing that, though, if I can find a shop that can bleed the new lines.
    Here's the one I have:

    Lyrics:

    Alles Gute – Silbermond

    Irgendetwas fehlt
    Lass Wind in deine Segel
Und lauf auf zu neuen Wegen
Gestern war noch nichts und niemand hier
Und jetzt eine ganze Legion hinter dir
    Und alles bis hierher
    Zählt ab heut' nichts mehr
Denn alles Gute liegt vor dir
    Alles Gute liegt vor dir
    Alles Gute liegt vor dir
    Alles Gute liegt vor dir
    Alles Gute liegt vor dir
Denn alles Gute liegt vor dir
Denn alles Gute liegt vor dir
    Alles wird gut ab hier
Und alles wird gut ab hier
Denn alles Gute liegt vor dir, oh

    Oops. In English:

    All the best – Silbermond

Something’s missing and leaves you staggering day after day.
You want to go on, but don’t know how long you'll manage.
And you long so much for this one breath that keeps you alive
and it tells you that everything here is forgotten.
And everything up to this point says “as of today no more.”
For all the best lies ahead of you.
All the best lies ahead of you.
Everything will be different and heal your wounds too.
Give yourself some time… it leaves confidence behind.
Let wind in your sails and run off to new paths.
esterday there was nothing and no one here
and now a whole legion is behind you.
And everything up to this point says “as of today no more.”
For all the best lies ahead of you.
All the best lies ahead of you.
All the best lies ahead of you.
Everything will be fine from here.
For all the best lies ahead of you.

The last time I heard 'Bat Out Of Hell' was when I was shooting a wedding. The bride and requested it. Quite a party, that one.

Hi Bobby. I was worrying about you.
Also needed your input. I was torn between soft tacos or four can chili tonight. I'm defrosting now - could go either way, but I'm leaning towards the tacos since I have a head of lettuce that needs to be used up.

I just did another 6+ miles. This is on my Colon mystery bike. I bought this bike as a frame only off Ebay. It has Italian made Columbus tubing, Campagnolo drop-outs and headset. I have no idea where it was built. I added a Campy crankset and front dérailleur, Shimano 600 rear dérailleur. I first built it with a bullhorn handlebar, but that has now been reversed to face the rear.

So, I did my beerrun, fully intending to pick up a dozen Shiner Bocks. First place I went to (just because it was close to somewhere else I had to be), had a 12 pack for $14.99 - a bit steep, I thought, so on to the store I intended to stop at. But, not much better at $13.99. "Dang", I thought, "I can get Polish beer for $10.49".
On to the final stop planned for that night, and whaddaya know? Shiner Bock for $10.99!!
But wait. What's this? Tecate 12 pack on sale for $6.99? Man, I suffered greatly trying to decide, but then my cheap self said, "Are you nuts? Get the 12 for $6.99!"

    I did. It's good.

That is a good beer and cheaper is always better, you are just going to recycle it anyway.

I am having trouble focusing on things, no matter what I plan to do tomorrow I may draw a blank. I want to do stuff but when it comes down to it I just can't get my brain to cooperate. I usually end up apologizing to my my wife for not doing something and she just pats me on the back and sezs it's ok, I can do it. It is hard to take let me tell you.
