I was just lucky with my garden. It had every reason to keel over and die with all that rain. The plants still look good. Lots of sqwash, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Wish I could send you some.
Cantaloupes even started putting on fruits. I planted basil and cilantro for Sharon amd it is doing well. Okra runni g out my ears.

Cilantro and dill just will not grow out here for me. The did great at my other house but that was a good sandy loam soil over there and this is hillside deadpan clay and all the amending in the world and with this kind of weather it is almost useless except for lawn.

    Cool Re: Byob !!!!!!

Only thing growing in my yard, besides the weeds, is a huge patch of Tiger Lilly's.

Wifey bought me a new cover for my boat today. A couple of days ago I pulled it out in the middle of the yard removed a maple forest and about five inches of composted leaves. I have lost interest in most of my stuff as I never feel good enough to do much anymore, anyway the old cover gave up the ghost last spring and the boat hasn't been used since. I have it rigged pretty nice and I figger it is kinda crazy to let the weather ruin it. So I will cover it again and maybe in a year or so she will sell it to someone.

It is a 14 foot Sea Nymph probably a sixties model given to me by a friend, it has a 2000, 25 hp Mercury motor, I guess you would call it a semi V hull and it is aluminum. I put plywood floors with carpet in it and also those fancy folding bass boat seats. It is a very safe boat let me tell you.

    Thumbs up Re: Byob !!!!!!

There was a 14ft. Aluminum Lone Star boat, with a little 5hp outboard,on a trailer, for 700 bucks in the paper.
I am looking at it with a friend tomorrow.
I really want something bigger but the price is right.

What I really want is enough money to have Mista G. build me a right and proper wooden rowing boat.

We had a pop up thunder storm pass through and temps went from 93 to 73 in about twenty minutes and we got a 1/2 inch of rain.

Your lakes are a bit larger than ours. I don't think mine is ready for your lake or Superior.

    Morning All,

Drizzly here. Should cease before noon. Headed for the low 70's. Good day to work outside.
