I briefly saw Kern Pratt at the festival Saturday. He wasn't performing, but just stopped by.

Despite the words of this song, if you want gin or whiskey at Reds, you better bring it with you. Red doesn't sell liquor or craft beer. I can show you where each scene in this video was shot. They ran the stop sign at Delta Avenue on 3rd. Street.

My place in Georgia is in a community named Buffington named for Fort Buffington which was one of the Cherokee removal forts where Cherokees were held before starting the Trail of Tears. Now they aren't really sure just where the fort was located. I once read that Fort Buffington was the largest of the removal forts but I've never been able to find much about it. There was a drought that year and the Tennessee River was too low for boats to get up to Chattanooga. Otherwise more would have been moved by boat.

I meant to post that song earlier but didn't push post.

I read quite a few books in the late 1980s and early 1990s on the Cherokee and the removal. Once gold was found on Cherokee lands in 1828, there was much more interest in the removal of the Cherokees. My place in Georgia is in Cherokee County, but I was reading about the Cherokees before I ended up moving there.

Nope, I wish I did know. Maybe he would enjoy a shot of Mezcal and a lime with a cold Lone Star to wash it down. He does not come around here often.
BTW...Sharon is doing very well, I am happy to say!
Just had an idea...how about I pour us up some shots and we shoot a toast to John?
