Oh crap, this woman has decided to kill me. She came home with a thirty pack of beer, A bottle of Jose and two different wines for me to try plus we had hot dogs with canned chili and on the border chips. Oh I almost forgot the bag of jelly beans and the Reese's peanut butter things. She never allows me to eat those kind of things and I really forgot the can of Sardines. She is so freakin good to me.

I think she is seeing this latest change and knows a diet is not gonna fix it.

This is the yacht club today. Those blooming pear trees are standing in water. That is trash floating on top of the water. There is a road down under that water also.

This building is just beside the levee the markings are of previous high water events and show how high the water was on the other side of the levee. Right now it is about 6 inches below that lowest mark. The levee did break north of town in 1927 and flooded the town and the lower Delta.

It is still rising and now they say it will probably crest at 57 feet in two days. That has been going up about daily. It was revised up since this morning.

The river from the bridge today. Looking down on the levee from the bridge, you can tell that the river level is above the ground level outside of the levee. Those trees in the photo are standing in water.

As long as the levee holds and I'm not worried about that at this level. If my calculations are correct the river level is about 14.5 feet higher than my yard.

Some of these photos were taken around here in 1927. My grandfather stayed here. My grandmother took my mother and her sister and brother to Clarksdale.

I need to get back to check on the place in Georgia soon anyway. But the water isn't nearly high enough to threaten the levees. They are much better and higher than they were in 1927.

I think Garland is a good man, and I hope the day he comes to Tulsa I can meet him. Unlike Kevin the best I can do is show him around my yard. If Sandy is off work or Crys maybe I could meet him some place.

Hey Bobby, I do get over to T town on occasion for work related things.... maybe timing will allow a chance to meet. Hope you have a good evening, Sir. Settling in to watch our Colorado Avalanche take on the Red Wings....might get ugly. They don’t like each other much.

Gman if you are gonna hang out here late at night you could at least set up the coffee pot. I am getting pretty lazy these days and grabbing a beer is a lot easier than making coffee. Coffee is ready for those that drink such things .

Now THAT'S what I call "a heart attack on a plate"!
I could eat two of those, no problem.
Of course then I'd use up all my energy just digesting all that.
I'd probably need a nap too.
Better stick with just coffee and a high fiber magic* brownie.
