Just steamed a dozen eggs, got beer and I guess air pollution is going to be an issue later.

Air pollution? Shoo. We have been under grey skies for more than a week. Everything is covered with a thin film from the smoke.

Luckily, it’s only low 100s. Hehe.

My old fishing buddy, Uncle Bernie (not an uncle, not named bernie, but called Uncle Bernie) and I call boiled eggs “eating eggs” when in the boat.
To properly shell an eating egg, there must be a proper flat spot atop the sheer or on a thwart designated to egg rolling. Rolling an egg along a sheerline is one of life’s joys.

    Peace,

For you, eh? Sorry to hear that. I still love it. The boys liked it as kids, so we used to sing it together. So it has sentimental value for me. Take more than Will Ferrell to put a ding in it. <G>

Bobby, nice to see you! Smile. It makes everything better, even if just for a moment.

David, there is no way any version could ever compete with this! Yes, I meant “ruined” in a good way.

I am on an up swing in the feeling good department. I take the good days as they come. I can't get out in the heat and the humidity is a real downer for my breatheing parts. Which in turn work bad stuff for my heart and then there is the shingles thing

G'Day Bobster! Put four racks of St. Louis-cut ribs in the smoker about noon. Just took most of 'em out to cool. Then I'll put 'em in the freezer and then vacuum-pack them.

Left some in to slow-cook. I finally learned to lay a fire in a Weber smoker that will burn between 225° and 250° for five hours or so without adding anything except chunks of smoking wood.

Just opened a 90-Shilling Ale. In heaven with my feets hangin' out.

You Da Man, Chip. Nothing like having that on hand and not having to run to town and get a lesser quality product.

Gardening was a bust for me this year, just enough green beans for a mess, out of ten tomato plants five Goliath bush and five San Marzano I may have gotten ten tomatoes off the San Marzano and one off the Goliath. I had two really nice geen ones on the Goliath and they just disappeared. Oh the Okra is going crazy, I just keep giving it away.
