Keep calm, persistence beats resistance.
Full moon woke me up!
From my gerbil treadmill room here in the city I can almost hear the coyotes yapping out on the prairie. Some nights I would swap places with a coyote.
But no coyote would swap places with me.
Keep calm, persistence beats resistance.
Coffee pot is set up for Kevin and the morning crew.
Due to no customer traffic through here in the late evening Amber crawled underneath the pool table and is sleeping like a baby. I'll throw a blanket over her before I leave and try not to wake her up and catch a dose her mean mouth.
Jett left with some high roller who told her he would buy her a cheeseburger at the gag and puke down the road if she would spend the night with him. She thought about it four seconds and grabbed him by the arm and said let's go...bye, Glen!
Anne Harris, Jane Lee Hooker and a bunch of other wimmens. Yeah it ends too soon, but Anne makes it worthwhile.
Sending out good thoughts to Doug and Carter this morning.
Best wishes to Lefty and Carter!
I talked to Curtis M yesterday. He feels secure where he is!
Sure is quiet in here for a Friday night!
I'll sit over here in the big chair in the corner and sip Tequila and see who shows up.
Be safe out there my friends!
This seems like a good place to introduce myself ... My name says it all though. Shang has been saying I would like posting here for the civility and, dare I say, chivalry. Okay, he didn't say anything about chivalry. He did tell me about a thread about bats and raptors, two of my favorite things, along will just about every other wild critter, including Shang himself. I'll go hunting for that thread tomorrow.
Barb
Welcome, Barb!
I'm surprised Shang would send you to a dive....er, I mean a fine establishment like this.
What can Amber get you to drink?
Tell Shang ole Glen said hello.
Give me a quarter and request a song and I'll play it on the jukebox for you.
Please come back. We're open 24 hours 7 days.
Good evening Barb. We really need some new visitors in here. Thanks for showing up.
Love the Life I Live | Gregg Allman
A rather small raptor that I photographed this afternoon.

I didn't get a photo, but also saw a Loggerhead Shrike this afternoon which is a songbird with a raptor’s habits.
RIP Don Williams!
Coffee is brewed!
Have a good weekend!
Why thank you Glen. I gotta say, this place looks like a giant man cave. Not a bad thing and yes, please tell Amber I'd love a tall cold one - gin and ginger ale with a twist of lime. Its my version of a White Russian. (Who's Amber?)
Nothing I would like more than listening to some good music but, as Shang might have told y'all, we live out in the middle of nowhere with a huge lake as our backyard and hot and cold running wildlife. We wouldn't live anyplace else but it means we have few choices for our cell phone provider and ISP and that means a cap on usage and THAT means very few videos. Meh. We hum a lot.
Good morning Mr.&Mrs. Shang!
Amber and Jett are our virtual barmaids.![]()
There is a sharp-shinned hawk hunts in our yard all the time. We've all seen birds taken.
I am newly returning to here from a short absence because the speed of my internet has increased 7%!
Meh. Worth it to suffer the buffering to see what my friends is hearing in their heads.
Peace,
Emperor For Life (Self Proclaimed)
Robert
I woke up with this in my head this morning.
Joan Baez Live @ Woodstock 1969 Joe Hill
John Sebastian - Darling Be Home Soon
I hope Curtis has a very safe place. Erma looks to now have him in her sights. Lefty also.
T-Bone Walker- Don't Throw Your Love On Me So Strong
Lonnie Johnson - Too Late To Cry
Cedric Burnside "Mellow Peaches"
I wish I had been there for this. Shannon, Cedric, and Eric together. She wrote this song with Cedric's uncle Garry. Surprised he wasn't playing lead guitar.
