I am closer than ever to my busking "career".

I have been working hard on a catalogue of poignant Americana and folk songs to go play at people. Quadzilla is amazed at the subtlety and power of some of the old songs.

I have always like Dylan because he was so Dylan, you know? I wish to be as me as I have perceived him to be himself in his art.

    What?

I have no idea. I'll probably add this song to my catalogue, though.

    Peace,

I took this photo not far from here on old Highway 61. Present day Hwy 61 is about 1/2 mile behind the church.
In the foreground is Deer Creek, Deer Creek was the home of Kermit the frog. Jim Henson grew up along Deer Creek.

I've always survived past episodes, but it makes you feel really crappy for an hour or less.
I was out in the yard smelling a magnolia flower when I felt it coming on.
I expect it will normalize in another 30 minutes, but just in case, take care of Amber and Jett, and know that ole Glen loved you all!

We all survived past episodes of everything. Go easy on the magnolias.

I get numbness in my left arm and chest pains, it's from an old shoulder injury when I survived instead of suffering a gruesome death. One day, it might get real bad and I'll keel over feeling a little surprised.

    You people have been great.

I had to look up Chipseal, but that sounds like what they did. Sprayed on what looked like hot liquid tar and spread gravel over that followed my multiple trips with a road roller.

I live in a town of over 100,000 and there's this one stepchild-like cluster of houses not far from me. They got their streets "repaved" Chipseal style, and were all crying about being neglected. City explained it was the best solution for the base that was already there, and it just needed to be driven on awhile to compress the chips. Looked great after a couple months.
I remember when I was a kid in Maryland, and they Chipsealed our subdivision roads (in July). We'd ride our bikes looking for the tar bubbles and pop them with our tires.

This road has been paved with a mixture of asphalt and gravel as long as I can remember. The county would come in occasionally and shovel more asphalt into the pot holes. Then last fall they covered the road with gravel and started grading the gravel from the edges back across the road about every week. Every car created a cloud of dust. It is good to have a dust free surface again and I can ride my bike down the road again.

According to Wikipedia, in 1960 the population of this county was 78,638. In 2015, the estimated population was 48,130. If I live long enough, I might have the place to myself.

I posted a video a while back that was recorded at the Juke Joint Festival that had someone that looked like Alicia going into Cat Head. Alicia says she wasn't there.

Hey, Jimmy. That one's really nice! Here's a cover of a Fats Domino song. Pretty well done, I think.
