Coffee is pretty tasty this morning.
Bloody Marys are in the silver pitcher in the cooler.
I slept 7 hours straight through and feel like myself again.
Before it gets hot I'm planting my tomato and pepper seedlings into my small straw bale garden.
Sending good thoughts and best wishes to Aussie Barney and Sue.
    Have a good day amigos!

Glen - I believe I'll stick with the coffee for now. Some of us don't have a scrip from the medico to drink before noon, yanno <G>

I think you picked the right doctor. Glad you're back on an even keel.

They planted the field right down the road yesterday. They used a couple of these 8 wheel drive John Deeres pulling a planter about 3 times as wide as the tractors.

I figured that it was soy beans as that is what they grew there last year, but I just went down and looked. Yep, soy beans. The seeds have a light blue coating on them so they look like small little Easter eggs. I have read that Delta farmers are planning on planting more acreage in cotton this year. They must be expecting a good price. The field just east of the bean field had rice last year while the field across the road to the west had corn last year. There is also a very large catfish pond nearby.

Some of you viewers/lurkers need to drop in here for a drink and some popcorn and a closer look at Amber and Jett.
Come on in and tell me a story and play me a song on the jukebox!

WHOA UP THERE COWGIRL. Jett - put the pool cue down, and quit flexing your talons. I'm sure Glen meant, "... a few more ladies..."

OK... I got another nickel in today's mail. With instructions to play this one - both for the song itself, and for the preface --

This house is just west of the flight path of the local airport. The airport was opened during WWII to train pilots as Greenville Army Airfield. It later became an Air Force Base which was closed in 1966. The Little Rock Airbase that trains C-130 crews used to send their planes over to do touch and gos. I just saw a C-17 make a couple of passes. It probably came from the Air National Guard Base in Memphis.

I'm pretty sure that I had a fractured rib from my horse kicking me once. I never did go to a doctor about it. It hurt for a while though.
I just found a photo today that my mother took of me on that horse. I didn't know the photo existed.

My shrink at the VA always asks about my drinking habits and recreational drug use,
He asked about me using pot, I answered no......... Can I?

I got a quick smile, then a comment about it probably being less harmful in the
    long run........

Rainy here this morning but slowly clearing.
I'll get the rest of my tomato and pasilla chili pepper seedlings into the straw later today.
There is still some crusty coffee in the pot if somebody shows up before it solidifies.
    Have a good day amigos.

I wonder if our old friend Fred Z ever looks in here any more.
I think he would like Norah.
It was nice to be around a group of people tonight for the first time in five months since Vallie died.
I've come a long way in five months. Tomorrow is her birthday 3-25-32.
She would be 85! We met when I was 42 and she was 51.

Now I'm back in Georgia. I got a copy of that Rhiannon CD last Monday. Today was the first time that I have listened to it, although I had heard a good bit of it on YouTube.
