    Evening fellas.
I worked the dayshift today, it was foreign to me.
I had to come home and take a nap.
I don't have to work tomorrow so I'll skip the coffee and move on to Budweiser.

Tonight, I drink the beers. I must sit and watch a movie, which means I'll draw a picture to post tomorrow.

I hope you are all well, and as content with your place in the world as can be.

    Peace,
    Robert

Very slow. I'll probably take another load over this week. I took some wheels and tires off of my sister's old jeep to use on one of the trailers that I want to get over there, but they won't fit, so that was a waste of energy and time. When I get over there, I will put new tires and lights on another trailer over there to pull over and use.

Hello Robert. I was responding to Kevin and you got a post in between. I do keep up with your car thread although i don't post to it much. keep it up. I am content with my places in the world, but am slowly trying to get back to Mississippi. Even my sisters that grew up there think that I am crazy to go back and there are bad points, but also good points. One of the major good points for me is the music.

I recently helped my friend Bill rebuild a trailer.
He hauled it from Lorain, Ohio to Colorado to go Elk hunting in the mountains.
    Made it back too.
I got some nice elk steaks for my efforts.

Aw, Jimmy. Don't even worry about my ding dong stuff. You busy, Brother! As long as your read all the decrees made by the Emperor for Life.

Besides, the music is why I keep coming back. If I could go see jams like that on the regular, I sure enough would.

Juat keep posting them, Pard, and I'll listen while I work.

    Peace,
    Robert

I might very well still be moving stuff, but I will definitely be over there for the Juke Joint Festival in April. Everyone is invited and I might be able to get Kevin a ride down and back.

That guitar would be perfect if it wasn't so big, and didn't have those 2 extraneous strings.
Honestly, though, I would LOVE to have an instrument that nicely made. There really is a difference.

Okay, off to the old salt mine.

    Peace,
    Robert

One of these has the right number of strings for you.

Oh, I kid. I like nothing more than finger picking and strumming, which is one thing that drew me to the uke, but a real flamenco honcho is alright by me.

The classical guitar styles are cool, too.

Shoot, man. You all realize music is just vibrations, right? The ones you like simply complement the frequency of your electrical system. The one in your body.

    Oh, yes.

Plus, shoot I can barely handle the four strings. Can't imagine having those others to fumble over, too.

    Peace,
    Robert

If I wake up in the morning hearing that I'll blame you!
Yes, I'm getting on, thanks to my own itty bitty spirit and my friends.
Weeks ago I began looking toward God for help, but quickly realized that He had no spirit, no heart, no mind, and no give a big rat's arse for me. He's a very busy God with little time for bereft Texans. I'm still wounded but I'm no longer critical!
    Happy New Year amigo.

I was wondering why the headstock/peg box on those ouds is angled back like that. One website said it is to keep the tuning pegs from slipping, but that isn't required on other instruments with pegs for tuning. It seems like it would be hard on the strings to make that turn.

Othman Wahabi reminds me a lot of Austin 'Walkin'Cane' Charanghat. This video is from 2010 but was filmed where I met him playing with Libby in October.

I'm glad to hear that, Jimmy!I can't afford to drive away the clientele and end up with an empty shack and two destitute barmaids on my hands.

I think we have already done a pretty good job of driving away the clientele.
