Slow day for me here, sometimes I wonder what the hell is going on in my world. I have been awake since two hours before forever. I only wish I had that cooler here now.

    Morning All,

Welcome back, Kev. Your absence was noticed. Some were even concerned. I weren't.

Fight'n for fun. Growing up in rural OR-e-gone... there wasn't much ready evening entertainment. Drinking beer. Racing cars. Chasing women. So a good fistfight/wrasslin' match could liven up a Friday night. Our h.s. football games were good for that - a ready mob of opponents yelling for the other team. Emotions high. Dark places to duke it out undisturbed. Trouble was, sometimes those guys weren't just being playful. I complained to my dad about knives, tire irons, sharp church keys, and suchlike. He & my older brother promptly taught me how to fight dirty, and take such miscreants down fast & hard. I was always disappointed when it came to that... I'd much rather just fight for fun. When a fair fight showed one kid to be tougher... we'd stop, and no hard feelings.

Just sitting here having coffee & cookies for now. Time to sort out the chores ahead, and get crackin'

I just got word that the friend that I posted about last night died last night. The one that put down the tire tool and got into the fight. I don't know what the cause of death was, I'm thinking maybe a heart attack.

Indeed. It's tough to lose friends. Seems to be happening more frequently all the time now.

But I guess we all gotta go sometime. Then our family gets to sort out our accumulated 'treasures'. I've been the recipient of way too much Boat Crap from folks passing away in the last few years. I get to take it to the next swap meet and try to find good homes for it.

I'm going to miss him. I remember riding my bike into town and us riding around when we were too young to drive. We once got stopped for speeding coming down the levee which is the only hill in town. As another old friend said about a year ago, his mother was an angel. His father wasn't. I mentioned that to James, he said yes she was an angel but she raised a hell raiser.

    Morning All,

Another sunny one here, but not very warm. Perfect for some chores before the unceasing rains start in earnest.

Hey Fred, music of my genration. I have stopped shaking enough to use the keyboard and not knock the mouse in the floor. Still having some trouble putting letters in thr right order but two or three proof reads and I think I can be understood.

I get it, just know I would not purposely do anything to make you feel bad. A lot of songs I would play really make me think twice about you, Glen and Curtis and a few others on this forum
