    Default Thanksgiving

My son, dot-in-law, and 3 grandkids put themselves into quarantine two weeks ago so they could confidently visit us tomorrow. Haven’t hugged a child in 8 months.

We’re planning on just not letting them leave.

    I'm impressed.

I presume you did as well?

Anyway - Thanks need to be given!

We're solo. State is asking schools to ask returning students if they were at a multi household gathering for Thanksgiving. Daughter doesn't want to make her son have to lie. I can appreciate the need to limit social gatherings, since they are what is driving the current surge in Vermont, but involving the children is tacky.

    Good Plan. Good luck!

I miss my grandbabies already. And the kids. We have to isolate because the dil is an RN... and a Visiting Nurse. Lots of potential contact, including one known infected person. She had to get tested, but was clean. And my sweetie works as a chaplain in a hospital that is increasingly filling with CV19 cases. They're talking about going to their Crisis Event plan - which involves tent wards in the parking lot. Mostly overflow from Idaho right now - where they ignored the professional's advice. But cases in Oregon are growing too. Her boss just tested positive, and she had to stay away for a few days until her test came back clean.
