Now that's better. I can actually hear her voice, and she is good.
There was a guy at the last place I worked who was in a band, and some of us would go to their shows. They had two women as lead singers (split time), and the band was drowning each of them out. I told this guy, “Look, you guys will have your chance to shine, but while the girls are singing, remember that you're back up.” He got it, but the lead guitar didn't.

Jamming at Red's in Clarksdale. Anthony "Big A" Sherrod on guitar, my friend Heather on bass. Dick Lourie on sax. Dick drives down from Massachusetts every year for the Juke Joint Festival. Ghalia and Heather both are on Ruf records. On other guitar is Bobby Gentilo from Pennsylvania.

Glad you survived that Paul. Now a few beers should help the mental stress of all that.

Good morning, Bobby. I hope you have a good day. I'm down to my last bottle of beer, so I'll be picking up some Shiner Bock today.
I've never had knee problems like Paul, but I did have a Cortisone shot once in my wrist. It didn't help, and in fact, I think it extended the healing process, so I probably won't do that again.

Good morning Fred, things look a little brighter today. I walked off a ladder several years ago, I guess I forgot about gravity. I could see I was going to fall across my table saw and thought this is not good. Some how managed to give myself a little push off the ladder, landed on the concrete on one knee and shoulder. I had to have the fluid drained and xrays done, no broken parts but one major pain.

I know I'm one lucky SOB. I've almost always managed to land on something soft, avoiding any sharp, or pointy things. Only exception was once when I landed flat on my back on a sheet of ice. I just laid there for awhile, looking up at the sky, and thinking, "Wow, that could have been a whole lot worse." Took me a few minutes to get up, but no damage done.

That falling on ice can kill a person, And falling on your back means that your head is definitely going to slam the ground.

Like I said - one lucky SOB. I was wearing a rolled up stocking cap at the time, and if my head did hit (I don't remember, cuz it didn't hurt) then the stocking cap acted like a bumper.

Tomorrow's trash collection day (we used to call it garbage day), and there's plenty of room in the cart, so I'm filling it with as much as I can from the basement. I swear, someday, that will be one big empty room.

I bet you find something to fill the empty space that you are making. Like maybe I should keep this, I may need it someday.

I'll do my best to avoid that trap! But, if I end up with a few perimeter shelf units neatly filled with useful stuff, I'll still call it a win.

I do not know why I keep a twenty five cent item to clutter a shelf that I will never need. I have a five gallon bucket full of galvanized half inch pipe fittings, they have been around for at least thirty years and I will never do any plumbing like that in this life. I just keep old stuff in case someone may need it some day.

i've had them in my feet, wrists, and knee

they hurt like muther*******, in your feet and wrist
but the relief from pain thirty seconds later and for weeks or months after makes it all worth it

unusually, and i asked my doctor about this, there is no acute pain reaction to cortisone injection into the knee

Either I misjudged how much room was left in the garbage cart, or I didn't realize how quickly I could gather up basement trash. The cart's full, and I have two more large trash bags filled. Oh well, next week.
I did find a bunch of stuff I can add to the Goodwill pile, and I cleared off a table (who knew I had a table down there?) enough to assemble the chain saw I bought last year. I can feel the backyard trees quivering.

I'm glad that stuff works for you, Paul. All it did for me was make my wrist hurt even more for about four weeks.
It was the Physician's Assistant who administered it. Maybe she missed the mark.

    Thumbs up Re: Byob !!!!!!

My goal is to roller skate again some day.
I'd settle for riding a bike or walking without a limp.
    I know, crazy eh?

Wait. How do you ride a bike with a limp?
Good luck, Kevin. I never heard of refilling a knee.

I'm back from my run. Somewhat successful, I guess. The donation and recycling part went well. Not sure about the beer part yet.

my surgeon has a three month wait to get a knee replacement done, is that a good sign or a bad sign?
