I hope you all had a good evening. Prolly nobody will see this post until tomorrow morning.
Glad to hear that Fred. Hopefully it calmed down Oklahomey way too.

David I find 50% of house contractors in my limited experience do what they say when they say they will and don't create any drama. The rest slide to varying degrees less than that I'll leave it there

Do you have some unusual constraints in your house?
That's what I should have done. But that's not what they promised nor what I paid for. I expected a competent install, leaving us ready to wash a load. Haven't gotten it, nor anything close.

Well The wind finally settled down and I hope they have all the fires put out by now. The power went off a couple of times but not for very long.

Good arvo all. Haven't dropped in for a while, my 80th strung along for about a fortnight with one thing or another. Amongst the gifts was a bottle of Suntory whisky. Very light, very 'spirity' and not a lot of flavour but at 43% alcohol by volume a bit of a heart starter to say the least! I prefer a good malt.
Sailing season is winding down, found the source of a leak in my boat, a filleted seam. Well it was built in 1974-5 so I guess that's fair wear and tear.
I hope you are all as well as can be expected if not more so, my dodgy hip has been giving me some problems if I carry too much weight but otherwise I'm fine.
Sailing season is winding down and we have had an influx of families joining and almost every boat that still floats is in use on sailing days.
I'm cutting wood for winter and I'm sure that chainsaw is heavier than was…….
    Take care you mob……..

62 is as old as I'll admit to at this point.

Oh, and we have a resolution on the washer installation saga. HD is paying me $300 to do it. Not what I'd normally charge, but at least it'll be done right...

It's in the picture album in the safe under the concrete slab.... But it's there for all to see..... or not........... For a price.

Gotta situmacation with the neighbor that may take a few days to work out, if you don't see me..... A sad turn of affairs. I'm gonna have to go over and take back my car hauler (And find the 2 missing wheels) my generator that was brand spanking new when I loaned it to him, and now looks like a relic from WW2, my brush hog (can't even see that in the pile of junk in the yard), and several other items.....
This place looks like Sanford and sons. Broken motorcycles, rotted out boats, bags and bags of rotting who knows what, and rusty pieces of some sort of steel something or other. There's 2 cats that I've seen there, looking for food and why they can't get inside the house.... But as Bobby says, and he told me long ago..... Poor people have poor habits. This guy didn't need to be poor. He had every opportunity in the world to get ahead and be a thriving member of society. But he has poor habits. He breaks everything he touches, and every person he gets involved with (3 wives 7 kids of various sorts). Now I have to scramble to retrieve what I can before the county puts a lock on the gate.r

Talkin' to Tulsy one time... he told me when he was in the U.S. Army he'd been doused with several chemicals. I forget whatall, but I think they included Mustard Gas & Pepper Spray.

I guess that makes him a Seasoned Veteran?

    G'morn you Well Seasoned Veteran,

All all the other Pubsters as well! Another rainy day here. Can't put off moving some plywood indoors, so it'll have to be in the rain - then spread it out around the shop to dry off.

Then I've gotta plan for getting the washer set up right. And make some decisions about the heat-pump hot water heater.

Hope everyone has a great day.
